Improved Education Decision Making

CREDO at Stanford has developed expertise in the rigorous analysis of various educational programs’ effects on student achievement. CREDO continuously creates and tests new metrics for evaluating public school performance in ways that enlighten educators and policymakers on program performance and accountability. State departments of education, legislators, and members of Congress have come to rely on CREDO’s expertise in designing studies, collecting information, and analyzing and interpreting results before making decisions about such crucial areas as student reward and incentive programs, teacher hiring and retention practices, and innovative school models.
